News making the rounds suggests that an Hausa/Fulani security guard had chased a girl into a house, probably to beat her up but when an elderly woman in the house intervened in defense of the said girl, a fight ensued which led to the death of the girl and the woman. Their death infuriated youths around and their attempt to have the man killed in retaliation led to futher clashes that saw many dead. 
The matter would have led to a total break down of law and order if not for the quick intervention of the Police.
