Only those who can afford to lose enjoy #gambling... Love.

Image
How do you say #LOVE in your native language? well, in #Igbo language, love is called "#Ifunanya" or "Ihunanya" which literary means "To see with the eye" when directly interpreted into English Language. Now, if to us, love means to see with the eye, why do you believe what they say; that love is blind? don't always allow yourself to be brain washed my dear, for love is not blind at all, you need to open your eyes wide, very wide, no pretense at all, accept only what you can live with, talk about them at the onset and try to get an acceptable solution. Never expect people to change for you, they may change in other to make the marriage happen but after that their true colour will gradually come to stay. Never #marry out of pity because your spouse won't be comfortable living with you and knowing that the connection between you too is that of pity and not love, every spouse desires to be loved and not to be pitied. No one is perfect, don'

MY STOLEN SELF, A Nigerian/Biafran War experience.

Image
What did we know about wars? We were little then but we still remembered the Catechist advising our parents to make medals, inscribed with our names, the names of our parents and where we came from for us to wear round our necks, that sounded funny but the Priests and the Catechist sounded damn serious.  #War was coming seems to be the clear message, there was apprehension, palpable tension, and confusion among the people in Obigbo, our little community but the radio stations gave my dad assurances and hope for a better future in our country. My dad was a full time #farmer; he had migrated from Etiti near #Umuahia to Obigbo-Asa which was on the outskirts of #Port-Harcourt as you move from Aba to Port-Harcourt. He got himself a plot of land, where he built his own house and got married to the daughter of a fellow migrant, making this community the place of birth of all his children including me. My dad doesn’t believe in gossips, for him the truth only comes via the radio, so even

#Segun-Odegbami vs #Orji Uzo Kalu on FIFA Presidency

Image
Segun Odegbami declared his interest in FIFA's Presidency some few months ago, many months after Orji Uzor Kalu had already declared his interest for the Presidency of FIFA. When Kalu declared, some people said he is not a footballer, he is Politician, how can he manage football if he has not played football and ask them how many footballers has headed the #Nigerian Football federation NFF, That you are a retired footballer is not enough to qualify you for Fifa    Presidency, Orji Uzo Kalu is hard core football fan, his entire life is football, this is the man that had traveled the length and breadth of Africa in support of  the now Enyimba football club of Aba. And when he eventually became the #Governor of #Abia State, his darling Enyimba FC became the first Nigerian Club to win the African Champions League back to back.    Where can you really compare Orji Uzor Kalu and Segun Odegbami, is it in adminsitration, is it in knowledge of football, is it in terms of clout, is it

#I-Have-a-dream, that one day, an #Igboman shall be elected as the #governor of #Lagos #State...

I have a dream that one day we shall have a stronger one #Nigeria, if you believe it type amen. I have a dream that one day elections in Nigeria shall become very free and free fair, if you believe it type another amen. I have a dream that one day, ''state of origin'' shall be replaced with ''state of birth'' in our application forms. I have a dream that one day #political #appointments shall not be based on your tribe, section of the country or in the number of votes gotten from a place.  I have a dream that one day the war on corruption shall be worn. I have a dream that one day Nigeria shall celebrate seven days of constant power supply in all parts of Nigeria. I have a dream that one day, Nigerians shall be completely free to vote and be voted for in any part of one Nigeria without intimidation and threat to life. I have a dream that one day those who threaten the life of others with violence because of elections shall be made to face the huma

#killed by a #trigger happy #police officer in #Okigwe, #Imo State, #Nigeria

Image
"Inyanga de sleep, trouble go wake am" according to those who claimed to have witnessed what happened, a team of Police Officers from the Okigwe Police Station has gone out in pursuit of a group of #Marijuana smokers, somewhere near the tipper park. On siting the Police Officers, the Smokers took to their heels, the Officers however, according to an eye witness started interrogating a young man they found there who equally refused to run like others. They searched the young man and found an unwrapped marijuana on him even though he wasn't smoking any as at the time they came for the arrest. An attempt to have the young man arrested proved abortive because he claimed he wasn't doing any smoking and as such hasn't committed any crime, worthy of an arrest. This infuriated the Police Officers and in their attempt to have the young man arrested by force , one of  them, who is said to be named Nick, pulled out his #gun and shot him this equally invoked the anger

Their #DOG eat Their #BABY... #terrible!!!

Image
Grand Mother failed to feed the dog: a #Rottweiler and then She left to buy some items a few blocks away. Meanwhile, her grandchild was asleep in the room and being in a hurry to return in time, she only closed the door behind her. The few minutes it took her to dash across and buy what she needed was all it took for the baby to wake up and in the absence of anyone stepped out of the room in search of someone only to be confronted by a hungry and angry dog. By the time her Grand Mother rushed back, the little baby had already been torn apart by the hungry #Dog, this is not a story, it happened to a family in #Ubahu, #Okigwe, #Imo State #Nigeria this week, VERY #TERRIBLE !!! VERY VERY TERRIBLE !!!!!!!!!

Now that D.S.P #Alameseigha is #dead, now that they have killed him, let his #corpse be #extradited to the #UK... they (UK) seems to lack the courage to call people #corrupt until they are no longer in power.

Image
My problem with the UK is that they seem to lack the courage to call people corrupt and to treat people as corrupt until they are out of power and until they are been hounded by their political enemies in their country of origin, that in itself is a bigger corruption. If a man in power is corrupt and as a government, you are sincere about stopping corruption, you need not wait until he is out of power, make it known to the world while he is there and treat him as a corrupt person, refuse him entry into your country and reject the money he is investing in your country, stop him from acquiring these properties in the first place so that the idea of seizing properties  acquired and returning of looted funds won't even arise.   They say he who goes to equity must go with clean hands, those who accuse others of being corrupt need not be corrupt individuals themselves because that will only amount to pot calling the kettle black so those who cover them up should be exposed as well.

#Vincent versus #Olisey's Ego. Coaches who can't manage their team's assets will always lose their jobs. #Nigerian #Super Eagles.

Image
They always make the same mistakes, their #ego, their greatest enemy, our indigenous #coaches find it difficult to rise above their #inferiority complex. As former footballers themselves, they all want to prove a point, to reduce their players to nothing, to say i was better than you during my days. Some of them are simply envious of the achievements of those they are coaching, they may not say it but the feeling lurks some where in the bottom of their heart.  Honestly, they work better with the junior teams because they are young, very obedient, tolerant and eager to impress, not knowing what is obtainable however the bigger boys have seen it all, worked with better coaches and better teams and expects to be treated in certain ways as professionals. That explains why #Siasia was or is still good with the #Dream team and yet was having problems with #Mikel Obi and the likes. #Eguavon had they same problem with his big boys. #Keshi, on his own part preferred to pitch his ten

Vote of no Confidence on the Justice System

Image
Vote of no confidence on the justice system, just had to stop by to get this shot. people are tired of seeing criminals return to the streets in matter of days from the police stations only to commit another crime. the question is, whose job is it to prosecute criminals and put them behind bars when they are caught, especially when those who caught them are not interested in the ''come today'' ''come tomorrow'' judiciary system of Nigeria. when this people are taken to the police stations by mobs and are abandoned there, often time they are released on bail by these police stations and since the mob has vanished and there is nobody to sue them to court they simply return to the streets often times within the space of a week, giving the erroneous believe that the Police are only interested in money, they take bail out money and releases them to their relatives.                                                                    Until someone takes the
